Have Questions?

  • A menstrual cycle usually starts on the first day of your period. It is the cycle your body goes through to prepare for pregnancy every month. The average cycle is 28 days long and is controlled by hormones. It has about 4 phases.

    Days 1 - 5
Day one is when your period starts, and this usually lasts 5 days, but can be longer or shorter depending on your body.

    Days 6 - 14
After your period ends, your uterine lining begins to thicken and prepare for possible pregnancy.

    Days 14 - 25
When your cycle hits the two-week mark, the egg is finally released from the ovary and descends to the uterus.

    Days 25 - 28
If pregnancy doesn’t happen, the hormones in your body will start to break the egg and uterine lining down. And then the cycle repeats!

  • Design & Positioning: Discs are flat and sit high up in the vaginal fornix (behind the pubic bone). Cups are bell-shaped and sit lower in the vaginal canal.

The 'Seal' Factor: Cups use suction to stay put, whereas discs rely on being tucked into place.

Removal Technique: To remove a disc, just hook the rim or pull the string to take out. For a cup, you have to squeeze the base to break the vacuum seal before it will move.

  • Before your first use of each cycle, boil your Femmin Disc for 4–5 minutes to keep it perfectly clean.

Rinse your disc with mild soap and water before using it.

Each time you change it, simply rinse with soap and water, and you’re ready to go again.

  • When positioned correctly, a menstrual disc should be completely leak-free. It has a high capacity of up to 70 ml, which is roughly equivalent to six regular tampons!

If you do experience any spotting or leaking, try these quick fixes:

    • Double-check the placement: Ensure the rim is tucked securely behind your pubic bone.
    • Check the shape: Make sure the disc has fully opened and isn't bunched up after insertion.
    • Empty more often: On your heaviest days, you may need to empty the disc more frequently to prevent overfilling."
  • Your Femmin Disc is 100% reusable and made from high-quality medical-grade materials.

With proper care, it will easily last for years.

  • No worries — The disc works perfect for low cervixes.

It sits flat in the fornix, taking up less space than a tampon, and still gives you full protection and comfort.

  • Yes! Unlike a cup, a disc sits high in the vagina, so it doesn't take up any space.

Many people find penetrative sex more comfortable and less messy with a disc.

Note 1: you might take the string off, for it to be comfortable)

Note 2: the disc is not a contraceptive and does not protect against STIs.
